High end fashion houses hold the very weighty ownership of leading the path in all that is fabulous; setting the tone for assortment lines of contemporary brands and the like. Though innovative and inspiring - designers of all walks stumble into the treacherous fashion faux paux every now and again. Unfortunately it seems that this season one fashion house has stumbled into an unforgiving trend that no brand wants to last...bankruptcy! Christian Lacroix could be the first of his breed to declare bankruptcy (get the full story here). What will this mean to the fashion industry as we know it? With shoppers in all tax brackets shopping less, it wouldn't be a surprise to see many more labels of this caliber to lose out on market share and fail in being able to ride out this storm. Only time will tell what this summer trend will do to the real life of fashion.
